Avi Banker Avi Banker has been on the Special Assets team since November 1997. He is a Licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Illinois and has a number of postgraduate degrees from various universities on the East Coast. Prior to his affiliation with Special Assets, Mr. Banker was the President of Aura Industries, a computer hardware distributor in Chicago with sales of close to Ten Million Dollars ($10,000,000) annually. As Director of Acquisitions at Special Assets, Mr. Banker has been involved in the purchase of over Two Hundred Fifty Million Dollars ($250,000,000) of real estate including residential, retail, office, and industrial properties totaling over 5,500,000 square feet. His experience also includes the financing and refinancing of all types of assets. To that end, he has procured more than One Hundred Fifty Million Dollars ($150,000,000) of debt from all sorts of financing vehicles such as conduits, life insurance companies, and local area banking institutions. Mr. Banker has also effectively raised private capital in excess of Eighty Million Dollars ($80,000,000) for real estate syndications. He has been involved in asset management and in lease negotiations for all types of properties including medical, general office, retail and warehouse space.
